HIP HealthCare

For over 60 years, HIP® has been working hard to provide New Yorkers with access to quality, affordable health care. With our expanding provider network and new health plans, we are now offering employers and members more choices than ever before.
Look at some of the exciting things happening at HIP:

  • A new generation of HIP health plans offers businesses like yours greater choice and more flexibility in selecting health coverage for your employees.
  • Members can choose from our expansive network of close to 27,000 participating providers in more than 45,000 locations.
  • InformationWeek 500 ranked HIP among the top innovators of information technology in 2004, 2003 and 2002.
  • hipusa.com is now available in English, Korean, Spanish and Chinese.

Quality Health Care
HIP's commitment to quality begins with our participating networks. Whether in private or group practice, our participating providers have met HIP's strict credentialing criteria. Our doctors and health centers are affiliated with some of the top New York City hospital systems and physician groups, giving HIP members the quality and care they deserve.

Our high standards have resulted in Commendable Accreditation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance(NCQA), the independent, non-governmental agency that monitors and evaluates managed care organizations. Only plans that meet or exceed NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement receive this accreditation.

Expanding Provider Network
HIP continues to expand and improve its participating provider network. Our network of providers includes close to 22,000 providers in more than 33,000 locations throughout our service area and we're still growing. The result for your  employees? More choices and enhanced access to quality health care.

For example, HIP has formed alliances with some of New York City's top hospitals, like Montefiore Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital and Continuum Health Partners (Beth Israel Medical Center & St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center).
Plus, members now have access to thousands of providers in private or group practice throughout the HIP service area. For the most current network information, browse our
