  • LifeAssist (added financial security for employees who suffer a severe disability)

Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Guardian's AD&D coverage for specific accidental losses can provide basic coverage or be enhanced to provide additional protection in qualifying situations.

Group Universal Life (GUL)

GUL combines permanent life protection coverage with a tax-deferred cash accumulation and flexible premium payments. A range of features such as death benefits, accidental death benefit rider, and dependent riders adapts to employees' needs as they change over time.

Eye health is an indicator of overall health. Regular eye exams can detect diseases like glaucoma, diabetes, and blindness. Vision insurance gives people access to quality vision care. Since most people would trade a vacation day for eyecare benefits*, vision coverage is an increasingly important part of any employee benefits program.

Guardian provides rich, flexible vision plans covering exams and materials. A choice of two provider networks gives members thousands of access points nationwide. Members can visit any doctor they wish but save significantly on out-of-pocket costs when visiting a network provider.

Optional benefit and lens upgrades are available, including lens tinting, progressive lenses, anti-reflective coating, polycarbonate lenses, safety glasses, and additional glasses.

Generous network discounts include up to 25% off laser vision correction, discounts on additional glasses, and cosmetic enhancements such as tints, special lenses, and scratch-resistant coating.

A contact lens benefit lets members choose contact lenses instead of eyeglasses. A contact lens allowance counts toward contact lenses and the contact lens exam (fitting and evaluation).

Members can save money on certain frames and lenses - a listing of these exclusive frames and lenses is available in most private practice network locations.

Vision Networks

Guardian contracts with Vision Service Plan (VSP) and Davis Vision to provide vision service access. VSP is one of the nations' largest vision networks with over 36,000 access points nationwide. Davis Vision has over 45,000 network providers nationwide, including private practice doctors and retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, JC Penney, Sears, and Pearle

Members can also gain access to VSP and Davis Vision networks via our new business dental plans and Premium Protect medical product at no additional cost. Members pay the discounted charge directly to the provider.
